Step by step

Step 1

Blow up a balloon.

Step 2

In a large bowl mix 2 cups of flour and 2 cups of water, then mix.

Step 3

Cut newspaper into strips. Once complete, cover the strips in the mixture and place it onto the balloon. Repeat and cover the balloon in 2 or 3 layers.

Step 4

Allow the balloon to dry for 24 hours! When dried, you can pop the balloon inside with scissors. Now you have your own globe!

Step 5

Print out the PDF attached (If you don’t have a printer you can write this out yourself). Use newspaper cuttings to fill in the gaps for your description of the world. See examples. HAVE FUN! Your words can be as weird or as serious as you like. Here are some examples:

Step 6

Collect images, these can be drawings, printed, magazines and from newspapers. And start to build your world, think about how this world would work and show us on the globe.

Step 7

You can pierce a hole through the top and hang your world!
